I don’t know about you, but I love eye candy. I love to see what other jewelry artists and lampwork artists are doing – it makes me beady happy! I really enjoy what I do – good thing, since I’m not making a living from it! But to be happy on a daily basis creating things that people like to look at – that’s a nice job!
My partner, Phil, gave me a bunch of resistors he had left over, and his son, Ben, asked me what kind of jewelry I would make with them. I made earrings with them, as seen in one of my photos below. Three of the pairs are on etsy right now, and I guess I’m a closet geek because I really like them! Here’s a picture of another pair, that will go in an etsy jewelry shop I have in the works. I really like these ones because they are nice and summery – made with resistors, sunny seed beads and sterling findings.
Just to let you know, I put two sets of beads on ebay today – sets that I made when I first started making beads. They are just simple fritted beads, but sometimes a person just likes a simple bead! Also, I’ll be listing about 6 more sets on ebay tonight (ebay id sue_beads). Look at my etsy site, as well (suebeads.etsy.com) for some earring pairs and others. I also have some cool geeky resistor earrings for sale on etsy – check them out!
Hi everyone! I decided to go for it and create a blog! Here you will find some interesting stories, beads, poems, pictures, contests, etc. This is just a start – I have to learn how to put my pictures on the blog. I have a cool bead haiku coming up as well as a contest! Check back soon!
