Today I am participating in the 7000 Bracelets for Hope blog hop! Erin Fickert-Rowland of Elysian Studios and Christine of One-Kiss Creations are hosting the blog hop today for Global Genes, an organization that helps children with rare diseases. The concep is we make a blue bracelet to give to a family who has a child with a rare disease, to show our community support. I am so lucky that my children are healthy and active, I can’t imagine the pain I would feel if one of them would have something seriously wrong. I think it would help to know that someone was thinking about me, supporting me, and recognizing the courage with which I approach life everyday – this is why I am participating! The bracelet above is the one I made. You can see what the other bloggers made by checking out the list below! And here’s a link to Global Genes if you are interested in finding out more, or participating next year!

Sue,
Your bracelet is really fabulous. I especially like your heartfelt sentiments about why you participated in the blog hop/designing of the bracelet. I know that your lovely bracelet will help boost the courage of the wearer. Every time she looks at it I'm sure she'll remember that someone sat down and made that bracelet especially for that purpose. Well done.

This so spoke to me – I constantly oscillate between creating/consuming and feel guilty when my reading pile or my google reader backs up to the point of overload…I feel better after reading your post here. I guess a lot of us are in the same boat…I like your guidance to set aside time EVERY day to create though.Mens bracelets

I hate to have to admit to this but, I can't remember if I commented on your post! I was sick over the weekend and I took cold meds and I remember stopping by your blog (go ahead have a good laugh) but i can't remember if I left a comment about how lovely your bracelet is! I love the triple strands and the glass accent bead that dangles so nicely from the bracelet. All the beads are spectacular! Beautiful work!
