Enameled Rondelle Challenge Blog Hop

Today is the day of my Enameled Rondelle Challenge Blog Hop! Yep, the same day as Amy’s. Oh well. Hope you read both! I had fun with both challenges, and I hope you enjoy reading about them! I chose 5 people to receive a pair of enameled rondelles, in a random color, and their job was to create something with them!  I made earrings, of course, because I was on an earring roll!  And I like them for earrings!  But I’m sure someone will not make earrings!  I can’t wait to see what they all made.  Here, I made earrings two ways.

For this pair of earrings, I wrapped the rondelles like you would a briolette.  I had a little bit of a hard time with this, because I have been having what I can only guess are pre-menopausal moments lately, and forget how to do things.  Ugh.  Anyways, I wrapped the rondelles like briolettes, eventually, and attached them to a dangle made with this gorgeous faceted yellow agate teardrops.  If I made them again, I would add a little heishe on either side of the rondelle before I wrapped them!  For a more finished look.

This second pair, I turned the rondelles in the other orientation, and added some greek ceramic gears, silver heishe, and silver beads.  I like these, too, but you can see the rondelle better in the first orientation.  I think either one is great, though, and I hope you like them too!

Please check out what these lovely ladies have done with the rondelles that I sent them!

If you leave a comment here, today, I will enter you to win your very own pair of enameled rondelles.  I will choose the winner on Tuesday, May 29th about 8 pm!

  1. Yee ha! This was fun Sue. Thanks for the chance to participate. I love the earrings you made, and that you showed the beads in two orientations. Rock on Rondelle Queen!

  2. Sue, thank you so much for doing this blog hop & challenge! It was great fun!

And I love both earrings, but I'm particularly drawn to the yellow and blue pair – it's one of my fave combos!

  3. These are both gorgeous – love the blue with the yellow – but the color of that green is calling to me! LOVE YOUR ENAMEL WORK…as much as your LAMPWORK!!

  4. Great Hop!! Everyone made such lovely creative pieces with your beads – all perfectly showcased. And the blue, green, gold colors are all yum.

  5. Thanks for hosting this little hop Miss Sue! I love the look of enamel and I appreciate that I can use them more than one way. I think that first pair is like a tall glass of blueberry lemonade and the bottoms ones are like berry mint scones (can you tell I am hungry!?)
    Enjoy the day.

  6. Both pairs are lovely!! I especially like the second pair. I've really been enjoying all these creative hops, thanks for participating and sharing ALL your beautiful pieces!

  7. Oh, Sue, you know how much I love these! I would love to be included in your drawing! Thanks for your continuing generosity! -Sharyl McMillian-Nelson ~ Sharyl's Jewelry

P.S. Can't wait to see the other's creations now! 🙂

  8. I like how you wrapped the blue enamel… I have similar pieces and have been starring at them for close to a year wondering what to do.

  9. How did I miss that you were doing this blog hop. . .hmmm. I'm not sure. In any case, your earrings turned out great! I'm particularly fond of that first pair (per-menopausal forgetfulness or not). Those yellow beads are STUNNING with your enameled beads and really make the earrings scream of summertime! Wonderful.
