This week Sally Russick’s prompt for the Focus On Life Photography Series is Knock Knock. Photos of doors. In or out. What’s on the other side? My photo is from Santorini, Greece. I was there years ago (and by years I mean probably almost 8). I don’t travel as much anymore but I have fond memories of my travels. I went to Greece with an ex-boyfriend for business (he was an invited speaker at a conference) and before we went to the conference we decided to visit Santorini for a couple of days. This was the door at the top of the steps that went down to the hotel we were staying in. At the top of the photo you can see the caldera – a caldera is a sunken volcano that has filled in with water. Imagine sitting outside on the patio chairs watching the sunset from right here!!!!! Head on over to Sally’s blog to see everyone else’s doors!
I love the door to your memories!
Oh wow Sue, I bet that was amazing! Early evening hours are just about my favourite time to enjoy anywhere, I could certainly picture myself here
How absolutely gorgeous is this?!! Lovely photo,…lovely place and awesome door.
oh, yes, i can imagine… just gorgeous – both the doorway and the view… 🙂
Oh…I love your door for this week! I seriously want to go to Santorini one day!
A great pic. Thanx for sharing your story and memory with us.
A lovely gate with a splendid view just beyond.
Reminds me of our trip a few years ago! There aren't many places that have as beautiful a view or photos to be taken!
Gorgeous! Hope I am able to experience that some day.
That is a lovely photo.
I would love to visit there! It must have been an incredible experience!
I went there too in my 20's, hope to return someday.

Oh, Greece! *big sigh* Beautiful shots!
