December AE Theme Challenge – Handmade Christmas

How is it the end of 2019 already? It’s time for another challenge reveal. I usually make a few handmade gifts for the holidays, as well as candy. This year we only made peanut brittle – which is addicting btw – as there was one less week in between the turkey holiday and this one. Here’s a quick photo I managed to take before we broke it up and ate it and gave it away!

I also made some ornaments from some pendant style charms I purchased from Amy Mealey of Xaz. I LOVE her raku – I used some of the other beads I had from her that I was hoarding!

The photos don’t really do the raku justice.

I also made two bracelets – bead weaving pattern by Beadesirejewelry on etsy. I love the bracelets and the weave is really supple and it feels so nice, however using all these different kinds of czech beads that are fairly difficult to find all in one shop was a little irritating…I spent lots of money on shipping.

The purple one is for my mom, the other one is for Hope (Jason’s daughter). I finished them with two different clasps. For my mom, a magnectic clasp for easy0n/off.

And for Hope, I used an adjustable application because I’m not sure of her wrist size.

I also made my friend Jill a pair of bead woven earrings using this pattern by Beth Clark. I really like her patterns.

And finally, I started making my ornament from Jean Power’s Secret Beadalong. I always have issues with making the rope so as of now, it’s not finished. But I’ll get it done!

Thanks for stopping by! This is a blog hop, so I hope you visit everyone else – I’m sure there are amazingly wonderful creations by each and every one.
