Sassy Brassy Beaded Bead

I love this new beaded bead I made! I was out last weekend, running the multitude of errands that always pile up, and I stopped at Michaels for the charms I put on the wine bottle cheese tray I made for my son’s school. While I was there, I picked up this vial of cool czech seed beads. I love the colors – perfect for fall, but also perfect for almost any metal you are using in your jewelry designs. The brass, copper, and silvery colors are really nice, and there’s the occasional purpley colored bead for interest! Fun! In my etsy store now!

Customer Work

It’s been too long since I have done this! I have some very cool customer work to show you! The first photo shows a set of four colorful, happy bracelets made by Maria Joao, in Portugal. She has an etsy store, Cool Temptations, but you can’t get these bracelets – they are for sale in a shop in Lisboa. I may have mentioned I am going to Portugal this summer, and may get to see Maria and/or her work!
This next bracelet and necklace set was done by customer, Martha. She made the set for her friend, and I’m happy to say the friend loves it! These were made with my Copper Wave set of beads, available on my web site, SueBeads, and sometimes smaller sets of these beads are available in the etsy store!

This necklace was made by my friend Diane, and you can find her etsy store here. She has bought so many of my beads in the past, she must have bins and bins full of them. Actually, I believe she sells a great deal of her work made with my beads, and for that I am happy! This is a focal bead I made, and she made it into a very nice necklace with an African feel!

Finally, here’s a set of earrings made by my friend and customer, Leslie. She has also purchased many many beads and I appreciate it greatly! I think I am feeding her addiction – don’t tell her husband! These earrings were made for a friend of hers, with my Black Bathing Suit style beads, but made into rounds. Just so you know, the reason they are called Black Bathing Suit is because when I made the original lentil beads, I pictured them in a necklace, on someone who was sitting at the club in their black bathing suit!

Hope you enjoyed the show!

Beaded Bead

Here’s my first beaded bead, done in lots and lots of size 11 japanese seed beads in a really pretty muted AB blue. It was made on a 10mm wood bead, that I bought in Hilton Head, and the finished size is 14mm. It’s for sale in my etsy store – it was hard to determine a price for this baby, since it takes some time and eye strain to make. Hope you like it!

Another Purchase!

Here’s another purchase I made while on vacation! Beth Hemmila, from HINT, on etsy, makes the most beautiful charms. I have been eyeing them for a while, and finally decided to buy one! This one is called happiness. I just love it!

Later, I should have my first beaded bead that’s good enough for sale in my etsy store! It’s a really pretty blue one – when it’s ready, I’ll let you know!

One of my Favorites!

Today, I’m going to tell you about one of my favorite sellers on etsy. Her name is Debbi Adams, but she goes by Rocki. She is married to her soul mate, has two sons, and lives in Arizona. She is a truly kind, friendly, wonderful person. She makes fantastic silver findings – clasps, earrings, head pins. The pictures up above show you two of my favorite things she makes – the Medium Organic Wrapped Hook Clasp, and the Wild West earring wires. You can click on them to go right to them in her etsy shop. Besides the look and the quality, what makes Rocki’s work the best is she does an absolutely stellar job in polishing the ends of her wire – they are so smooth. You know this is important, especially on ear wires so they don’t hurt your neck behind your ears. The other thing about Rocki is, if you have a special request, she is willing to try out your idea, if it’s possible. For example, I bought some chain that was oxidized with a brushed finish – she made me some ear wires and ball head pins to match. So, if you’re looking for some really high quality ear wires, clasps, head pins or other components (she makes the most darling hearts), head on over to Rocki’s etsy shop. Tell her Sue sent you!

Etsy Shops Open!

Ok, I got both of my etsy shops open! Hopefully tomorrow or Wednesday I’ll have a bunch of Available Work on my suebeads.com web site for you to peruse. There is still time to order for the holidays! I’ll mail every day to make sure you get your items! This slider will be on the web site – if you want it, let me know now and I’ll save it for you! It’s ASK Silver Cinnamon, Raku Jitterbug frit by Val Cox, and some intense black stringer lines. It’s very earthy and would fit your pandora, etc., but you could also make it into a bracelet by stringing several matching colors and various sizes of seed beads through it (that’s what I’m going to do with mine). You could also just put it on a simple chain!

Art Pendants in Etsy Store

I just listed two more art pendants in the BellaHannahJane etsy store – Vermeer Girl With a Pearl Earring, and Klimt The Kiss. I’ll be listing more later, but I need to go and eat lunch and get ready to go to the Steeler game. I’m so excited – it’s cold and windy here, and we’re probably going to lose, and the game starts at 4:15… oh well, wish us luck!
