Beads of Courage Auction and Charm Swap!

Today is the big day! Today is the day I can reveal the charms I made and received for the Beads of Courage Charm Swap and Auction – LOVE, hosted by Jennifer Cameron!  Today, you can go to THIS LINK and start bidding on charms – all proceeds go to Beads of Courage

The other day I posted a teaser photo of the charms I made, and below you will find the teaser alongside the photo of the charms in full view!

I made my charms from glass hearts that I made and heart dangles.  The glass hearts were made of clear glass, which represents the purity of these little kids hearts, and they were etched to represent their medical struggles.  The charm dangles are for extra love!

Below you can see the charms that I received, and I was a lucky girl!

Row 1 – Nancy Dale, Lesley Watt, Terri Del Signore
Row 2 – Rita of Toltec Jewels , Susan Delaney, Jean Peter
Row 3 – Lori Bowring Michaud, Moriah Betterly, Mallory Hoffman

Everyone did such an amazing job with their charms, and I can’t wait to go through everyone’s blogs to see what they received!  You can too by following the links in the list below!  And please, go to the auctions and bid often and high for a great cause!  And a huge THANK YOU to Jennifer Cameron for ALL the work she puts into this charm swap and auction – it’s a huge job and she’s an amazing person!

  1. LOVE your little hearts! I have always thought that matte, clear glass is gorgeous and romantic in a completely different way than the bright red ones… so pretty and delicate, and the varied heart charms on the bottom finish it up wonderfully. 🙂

  2. Those are so sweet! And I like that you added the "extra" love! Kids have such pure hearts like you say and they have huge supplies of extra love.

  3. I hope that everyone that got one of your hearts knows how much love and talent goes into making those lovely hearts! I love the idea of purity behind your color choice, and the different charms on each one just makes each one that much more special. Outstanding job, Sue! – Julie

  4. I love your charms and the meaning behind them! And your photos of them are way better than mine! Clear doesn't like a white background…Thanks for participating and for helping to raise money for Beads of Courage.

  5. The first thing I thought (as you know) when I saw your charm was how pure and elegant it is. I'm glad I understood some of your intent and thank you for sharing your inspiration ideas–I will cherish it all the more.
